Today Nian actually slept in a little bit which is amazing since it's Saturday. This boy has no concept of sleeping in on the weekend. Oh he can sleep this late during the week and most days he's still sleeping when I go to work, but not much on the weekend. So it was a real treat.
We headed downtown with the neighbors for the Kids Expo. Nian had a lot of fun, but Joe had his fill after a few hours. He saw Minions, R2D2, big Puppies and Tomatoes, and Darth Vader. and didn't care for any of them. Smokey the Bear was lucky enough to get a high five from him. Twice he wanted to go into the bounce house but got to the door flap and firmly said NO. He had a great time playing with the cars, Legos, and play dough. The fire truck and police car were a big hit too.
One of the many freebies they handed out was a whistle and we are so PROUD to say HE CAN BLOW IT... That's HUGE people.. And let me tell you he's been blowing it since we got home, music to my ears. LOVE THIS KID!!!! Now if we could get him to learn to blow through his nose but we'll get there.
We went for a walk later this afternoon. Nian was able to ride his bike which is nice. Most people don't shovel their sidewalks so that was a pleasant surprise to see them done. Joe and I help get a rabbit out of the back yard much to Isabel's dismay. We got lunch from Taco Boy and Nian proceeded to eat my Chicken wet burrito while I was stuck with his soft taco. Which would have been find it wasn't a corn tortilla. Ick is all I can say to that!
That's been our day in a nut shell. Here's a look back at our day in 2015. We are enjoying reliving it not only via this blog but via our travel family Heather and Henry who are over there right now.
Friday was a down day for us so we headed to the nearby park, Starbucks, and another quick trip to Walmart for a few last minute items. Hey Starbucks was on the way so what do you expect. It was the first time we'd been all trip surprisingly.
Most of the group was down at dinner Friday night as the hotel restaurant was doing a Farewell American food party and it was all half price so who can turn that down!?. Nian LOVED the balloons, but I'm still glad we didn't bring any as i tried to hide them the next day he saw one and threw a fit until he could take it to breakfast with us. What can I say this little guy is just too cute to not get his way for now, and it also helps us in the bonding process.

| The locals at the park thought it was fun when this bird started pecking at Joe's hat. |
