FTA's Chinese New Year Celebration

Today was a GREAT day for the Buss family.   We spent much of the day hanging out in our pj's, and we even got a visit, with cupcakes, from Aunt Brennie.  Thanks again for the cupcakes Aunt Brennie, there is only 1 left as I type this, and I don't imagine it will be there when I finish this post!  Nian of course loved them, though it's the frosting he loves most. Which is ok cuz I get the cake part which is much better on the waist line.  At least that's my view of it!

We all got cleaned up and dressed to head off to our 1st FTA Chinese New Year Celebration.  FTA - Families through Adoption will be our new home study agency for lil brother. We hope to get signed with them in the next few weeks.

We all had a great time at the celebration tonight.  Nian was really good, and it was fun to see some many local families who've adopted through China.  Nian ate really good, and had fun making some masks and a noise maker. He did a lot of playing too.  He really liked the fan dance and the Lion dance, but wasn't too happy about the Lion getting to close as you can hear in the video.  We are looking forward to working with this new company and their summer picnic. 

We are looking forward to making some spring rolls and cookies tomorrow for our own celebration here at home.  We'll even have sparklers and fire crackers to help ring in the New Year!
