Saturday we slept in, bahahaha. Well 7am is actually "sleeping in" for me. We spent most of the morning hanging out in our pj's. Nian actually took a nap, which gave me a chance to head out to the store for some last minute items. Later he wanted to put together his Thomas and friends track, so we did.... Minus a piece of the track, I have no idea where it made tracks to. He decided to take the track apart last week and I thought we had all the pieces. Luckily we had an expansion pack that I added, it has a spiral section which he loved, but we still had missing track so there I sat there moving each train over the blank space. We just need to rework the design and then it won't need my help.

We headed out to my parents for some hot dogs on the fire, so evening fun, and to watch the fireworks. My parents live out in the country between 3 lakes. All 3 lakes were setting off their fireworks. My cousin Bonnie told me where we could get these great Lanterns that were 10 for $10 with the 11th free. My brother in law Brian picked us up some, and then we stopped to get more on the way. Now we had plenty to sent off that night, and more for Nian's birthday later in the year. It sure was a sight to see. Nian loved his glow sticks and game too. He wasn't too fond of the fire crackers and we headed up toward the house around 930 and headed home around 11.

Sunday morning brought more of the same "sleeping in" as Friday and Saturday did. We let Baba sleep today so Nian and I headed out back where he could go down his new slide, ride his tractor and his bike. Isabel thinks the slide is great too because now we're in the back yard more and can play ball. The weather here has been pretty cool in the mornings, which makes for a great time to be outside.
We packed up and headed a few hours away to a picnic with fellow CCAI families. We had a great time meeting new people and watch the little ones interact. Nian had a lot of first's today too. This was by far the longest ride he's had in the car, confined to his seat. Thankfully he slept most of the way down there, not at all on the way home but we got by with cars, crayons, and M&M's. He threw his first water ball, which he loved doing. He also went into the Lake for the first time!! He has only been in his or the neighbors little pool. He LOVED it. We can already tell he'll be a water baby just like his parents. It took him a little bit but he warmed up there and had fun playing. We look forward to next years event.

This is another busy week for us as we have a post op and pre-op appointments, along with our 6th month post adoption home visit. It's amazing how quickly time can fly. We have to pick out 8 picture's to send with our post adoption report and there are just too many to choose from. Ours is a little early which is good because there is another family in the area that our case worker has to see so that helps cut the cost of the visit, and every penny counts around here! Our post adootion visit went great and was so quick. We will have 1 more with this agency, our 1 year I believe. Then we will be able to do the follow 3 on our own. What a wonderful money saver that will be for us, especially since we'll be starting the process all over again soon for child #2.
We hope you all had a Safe and Wonderful 4th of July. We hope your pets made it through the events without too much stress. Our Isabel was not a happy camper these last 10 days.
We continue to pray for patience and guidance for the 3 of us as we continue our journey. We pray our good Lord ministers to your needs as well.
