Big week for us!

Nian had a really good week at day care last week.  We are so happy that he keeps growing and opening up with the kids.  There was a big change up of kids after school was done, and you could tell he was missing his friends that were no longer there.

I got a lot of fabric to start working on my craft items for our fall fundraising. Hope to get started on those soon.  We are also doing a garage sale at my parents in September.  Still have to work on getting those items together.  Joe's mom is also giving us some items to sell, and since this is, at least our items, to help raise money for "little little brother" we are happy to have whatever items we can get!

Here's a picture of poor Winnie.  She is stuck up in the towel closet for a while yet.  She was a gift from Aunt Michelly, she is really old (Winnie not aunt michelly) and is made out of metal.  She's an old school toy for sure.  She has been banned to the towel closet because someone ( a little boy in our house) thinks it's fun to hit his big sister with it. And THAT we can NOT have..  We don't hit in this house!  So sadly for Winnie she will stay where she's at for a while longer. And sadly she is not the only toy to be banned because someone thinks it's fun to hit Isabel with their toys!  These two kids....I'm afraid of what will happen when little little brother comes in a few years..

We're not doing anything...  Nothing we swear!

Nian has his surgery this week to repair his cleft palate.  He recently had a runny nose and cough but no more runny nose as of today, and just a little cough in the am after getting up.  We think it's just from drainage at night that he's coughing a bit in the am.  We're praying that they will still be able to do the surgery, but we won't know for sure until I call tomorrow.  If all goes well we'll head to the local children's hospital.  The specialist thinks his surgery will last around 5 hours.  At least we know he will be out of it for most of the evening once they are done, and we pray he'll get some rest while were are there overnight.  As long as there are no issues we'll head home the following day.  Then it's 3 weeks of liquids only, 2 weeks puree, 2 weeks soft food, then we can go back to regular diet.  Joe and I will be following his diet as well, and while we certainly hope Nian doesn't lose any weight we hope we do during this process. 

Please pray for Nian, Joe, and myself as we prepare for surgery, and for the Dr's and nurses that will help him.  We know our good Lord will bring him through it all, and he'll be the most talkative little boy around. Church friends remember those times you told me your "loved" to hear him during service because I imagine in a few months you won't hear anything else. lol.

We ask the the Lord continues to give us patience, guidance, and understanding.  That he continues to help Nian heal, and continue to grow.  We ask Him to ministers to your needs as well.
