Last Camping Trip party of 3

This weekend marked another "last" for the Buss family of 3.  I don't know why it makes me sad, or maybe it's just scared excitement, but we just had our last camping trip.  Our next camping trip will include our new little one, making it a Camping party of 4.  YES I do include Isabel in our count as she is a part of our family and like a child.  That's just how we roll.  I only wish her older sister Ginger was here to meet our little one.  (Insert mom's teary break down.)  Even after 4.5 years I still miss her. Isabel can be so much like her at time and yet so different.  Just as our 4 legged little ones should be. Funny how I find myself calling her Ginger at times. Kind of like my grandma use to go through all the grand daughters names before she got to mine! lol. My mom does that on occasion too.

So this was also Isabel's first time tent camping.  She did pretty good. Only got up 2 times the last night.  Compared to the 4 our first night that's a HUGE step.  Yeah it's not fun getting up in the middle of the night, stepping out of a tent to wonder what is out there.  At least the zipper lets anything know we're coming out.  Putting up the tent in the rain was a first.  We usually are taking it down in the rain.  We are hoping to borrow a camper next year.  Not sure we can deal with Isabel's middle of the night outings without waking little one up.  We're hoping a camper will help with her need to investigate.  Sounds good anyway!  Cabins are nice too, but a bit pricey.

It was nice to get away even if it was for only a few days, and not as far north as we usually go this time of year.  I am glad the weather is starting to cool off. Fall is always my favorite time of year, aside from CHRISTmas that is.. :-)     It was nice to finally sit around a bon fire without sweating at the same time.  Can't wait to get some hot spiced cider, pick apples, and carve pumpkins.  Oh and lets not forget Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte..  Yu ummm.  Oh and squash. LOVE squash.

This fall will also bring another Great Niece to us.  And the 3rd grand "daughter" to my parents. Aside from those 3 girls both Joe and I have only boys/nephews within our families.  I know everyone is hoping we'll have a girl, but I'm pretty sure we'll have a boy.  Only God knows for now!

We plan to take a closer look at a few boys on our agencies website.  While they are within our MCC I have not "felt" that tug that I expect to feel when we see our child. But we will take a peak and see if we want to request a file. We are ready for the next step of our family journey, and we are so happy to be in our 2nd adoption trimester.  That next step, in case you don't know, is a match to our MCC (Medical Conditions Checklist).  Once our agencies finds a match they will send us the child's file.  We will then have 1 full week to review the file, have our Dr. and specialist review and give their input, and pray, pray, pray.  Then we make a decision.  Woo hoo... That's a big scary step!  But what we've been working towards since the end of January.

Thanks for stopping by, traveling this journey with us, and all your support and prayers.  Especially the prayers.  We truly appreciate them all!  We will need them more than ever on our next travels on this wonderful journey to creating our family!  We continue to pray for our child and those who are caring for him or her.  We pray that God meets your needs and answers your requests as well.

Here are a few pics from our "last" camping trip.
