At least I will have a bit more time to gather those precious 11 photos we need to add to our dossier. It's not as easy as it sounds. They need to be current photos, so much for those great travel photo's we have. We need 3 of the two of us together, and 8 more of us with at least 1 or more additions. And sadly China doesn't agree that Isabel should count as a 3rd for those pics! We can include her in our pics but we have to have another 2 legged in the picture as well. I think we're only a few pics away from being complete. It's tough trying to pick out which photos that will properly show us as we are and how we interact with family.
We will also need to send our certified documents to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago for authentication. A task that we can do while awaiting our I-800A form from the USCIS (namely the FBI and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) giving us the approval to adopt internationally! We'll have to send that form and a copy of our Home Study to Chicago as well.
Once that's all complete, CCAI will put our Dossier together, translate it, and finally send it to CCCWA (China Center for Children's Welfare and Adoption) to get our Log In Date (LID).
We are so excited and blessed to have had a somewhat easy and smooth process so far. Thanks for sharing our journey and keep the prayers coming we sure do appreciate and need them!
God's blessing to you!
