In accordance with the Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption, Prospective Adoptive Parents must complete a minimum of 10 hours of parent preparation and training before traveling to China, designed to promote a successful intercountry adoption. Furthermore, the China Center for Children’s Welfare & Adoption (CCCWA), the ultimate authority in China adoption, requires adoptive parents to complete a minimum of 12 hours of parent training.
This my friends is what I started doing on Sunday. I'm happy to say I have 4 done and 8 more to go. SO thankful that I have a great agency with a great training program. They brought up so many different scenarios. Lots to think about and plan for. I love that they walk you through it all step by step.
Each class brings us closer to the China! Woot Woot!!!
