More paperwork to complete and review this week. Our I800 forms are ready to be sent to our agency. Once we have our LOA (Letter Of Acceptance) our agency will then send our I800 forms to the USCIS. These forms are our Petition to Classify Convention Adoptee (lil brother) as an Immediate Relative. This step is the start to complete the process to make little brother a full member of our family and american citizen once we reach US soil aka the Detroit airport. Which you would think he'd be one once we complete our consulate appointment in China, as the consulate is considered US soil. Anyway this new paperwork will get us rolling toward our TA (Travel Approval) which is the final thing we want/need to go bring lil brother home!
Nina had a Harvest Party at preshool this week. He had a ton of fun and was super excited to show us his goodie bag. He also got some cool books from Aunt Shellee. And we found out his best buddy at school is Anabelle L. cuz yes there are 2 Anabelle's in his class.
For some reason he felt the need to get up at 530 this am. then asked if I was going to work. Oh no little boy it's Saturday which is WHY you should be sleeping in... So since we're up lets work on our Boo items and go deliver them. Surprised to step outside to such nice warm weather. Don't feel so warm right now but it was at 7am. So we left our surprises at the neighbors houses. Shhh don't tell them. lol.
We're busy working on our care package for lil brother. I was at the store the other day and got a little photo album to send over. Nothing like trying not to break down in tears over a $1.49 album at Meijer. Next time you see a mom on the verge of tears be sure to say a prayer for her. You never know what hurdles she's climbing or how long she's been waiting... We are hopeful that lil brother will get this package and we are hoping to see some pictures of him in the outfit/pj's we're sending. We'd like to get an idea of his size so we can better prepare for out travels.
We are still working on our online auction, gathering items and getting photo's together. We hope to get that online in a few weeks. Just in time to start your holiday shopping! We are also hoping to get our T-shirt sale going this weekend. Just need to fine tune a few ordering issues. We are so excited to get then online for you all to see. Our good friend Adam drew our design and we are going LOCAL with our shirts so we are super excited about that. We love supporting small business. And it allows us to not charge a shipping fee for local orders. Bonus for everyone. Right now I'm off to get a little boy dressed so we can carve some pumpkins before we get cousin Jennell for Trunk or Treat last today.
