Things have quieted down a bit here at the Buss house. But that's ok we need some quiet after the last few months.
Nian is still doing really good in Speech therapy and he just LOVES pre school. Tuesday they went to the Fire Dept which he totally enjoyed. Today he says they played, watched a movie, and something I can not for the life of me understand but Okay good... He is a happy, healthy boy so it's all good.
Last night the boys went to their haircut appointment. Nian sat in the chair by himself for the first time!!! He even carried on a conversation with Patty while she cut his hair. This kid is just growing up so fast..
Right now our main goal is to get our I800 paperwork done so once we have our LOA we can get it sent right in. This form is the Petition to Classify Convention Adoptee as an Immediate Relative. Like the I800A form we will send this one in the USCIS and patiently await approval. There are also 2 other forms we fill out with this one, but they all go together.
Another fun and exciting thing that happened today was my truck not starting when I went to leave work. That was loads of fun. I called Joe about it and after a few more tries it started on it's own. We're hoping it's just the battery. ugh.... but it's an old truck so who knows. He's out there right now working on getting the battery out.
I was able to connect with another Mom who visited lil brothers orphanage in Aug. She got a TON of pictures while there, a lot of him since he was her little helper that day. I LOVE that we now have pictures of him smiling, and even a few of his grumpy face. He loves the camera on her phone. Ut oh we're in trouble....
We also found out that since he is at the LOCC at his orphanage that we can sponsor him. He currently has a sponsor and once we take over they will find that family a new child to sponsor. This will give lil brother extra 1 on 1 time/care and it will allow us to get additional pictures and updates on him. Such a blessing.. I also found out that it is a short bullet train ride his orphange so we can visit it while there. We no longer "have" to travel to his birth city to get his passport. But we still want to visit the place he's called home these past 2 years, and meet the wonderful women who helped care for and raise him.
LOCC - Lilly Orphan Care Center check out their great work and how you can sponsor a child yourself! https://www.ccaifamily.org/OrphanCare/Lily-OrphanCare These are wonderful centers within orphanages in China that make the child to nanny ratio smaller, and provide additional education and training. Nian's orphanage had an LOCC in it as well. That is where he stayed right before we brought him home. It still breaks my heart that he left the only family he knew (his foster family) and had to go to the orphanage before coming to us. I can't imagine what his little mind and heart must have thought and felt. We are so thankful he was at the LOCC for that short time.
Thanks for stopping by and your continue support, prayers, and love. We feel it!!! We also hope to see you soon so we can share our lil guy with you.
Blessings!
