We have our LOA... Letter of Acceptance!
What happens when your life gets so busy you don't check your email for a few days? It fills up!
We got our Soft LOA on the 4th, this is a notice from CCCWA that our paper copy of the LOA was issued and is on it's way to our agency. On the 7th we received our email that our agency had the Hard LOA (hard being the actual paper LOA itself). WOOT WOOT
This is the BIG one we've been waiting for and it's here. Travel is estimated to be 9-12 weeks after you receive your Hard LOA. Let the joy and tears flow freely we're going to get our little boy!!!
Then panic sets in.. Uh wait remember the best laid plan we had thinking March would be our travel time? 9-12 weeks is January..Yeah that's God working there my friends!!! :-)
I honestly had a little panic attack there about the time frame. That's 2 less months of prep work I thought I'd have gone. We have warm weather cloths, did you know the average temp in January in Beijing is 36. And the average temp at our last city is 64. We are so not ready. The room isn't done, the packing list isn't even thought of (yes I know that surprises some of you who know me well), we need winter cloths and warm weather cloths, OMG.....
God calmed my heart and fears when my sister pointed out that YES YOU ARE READY... You have been ready for months. The room and all the other "stuff" won't matter because you'll have your little boy. You have been ready for him your whole life.
and She's right!!!
Months of planning and paperwork and emotions is coming to the day we've been waiting for. It's going to be exciting, emotional, scary, and peaceful.
These next few months of paperwork, planning, and praying are what we have been working towards all year.
Please keep us in your prayers as we work towards getting to our little boy and bring him home. Please pray for us, little boy, our families, those who are helping us in this process and especially for that wonderful family who has been taking care of our little guy most of his life. I know they will grieve saying good bye to him as much as we will rejoice in saying welcome.
We can't wait for our journey with little guy to really begin. Thanks for sharing it with us!
My God bless you and your family and minister to your needs and request!
Joe and Becky
