Don't resent God's timing His blessings might not be immediate, but they will come if we are faithful to do what he says in his word! 1 Samuel 2

HS visit #4 and more

Today will out Home Study #3.  It's going super fast this time around.  The State of Michigan is now requiring all Home Studies be completed within 90 days.  😲  To us that's just God's way of telling us to get moving, our little girl is waiting for us! 💓💝👶  I hear ya Lord.

We've been to a few birthday parties since the last post.  The boys had a great time at both.  It's so awesome to see their new friendships grow. We also went to Book Bingo at Nian's school. wow what a hot mess, it was one crazy night. I also signed up to be the Volunteer Coordinator for his school carnival in April.

We sent our service agreement and first agency fee to CCAI. Everything was approved and we are now downloaded all of our paperwork and guides to continue this paper chase.  With the new State Home Study rules we have been doing this adoption out of our normal order, document wise.  But that's good because it just puts us closer to our little girl!

Nian helped me decorate for Easter.  He also enjoyed his first Monster Truck show. He had a great time.  Cheng and I got to hang out a bit while Nian and Joe were out. I forgot how crazy it is downtown when there's an event going on.  but dang not as crazy as this past Thursday we with the president here.

We also headed to Frosty Boy on their opening day.  It was a bit chilly, and we had a little wait but it was well worth it. Come on warm weather...  We've taken a lot of walks too since it's starting to warm up. We are all just so happy to get outside for a change..

One day we headed back to Nian's school after dinner so the boys could play on his playground.  Love all he learns at school.  His class tapped a Maple tree to make some syrup.  Love the little "untruth" - Maple trees produce syrup.  If you ask Nian he will tell you that you have to boil the sap to make the syrup. Which is exactly what his class did.  They also had 4 of their baby chicks hatch this past week.  I wonder how many more they'll have when they all get back from spring break!?

This boy tries so hard to keep up with older brother..

Nian got to spend his first day of spring break with Aunt Brennie who took him to Meijer Gardens. The we met them for Pizza which was a lot of fun. He was so tired, both boys quickly crashed once we got home. She said how he really analyzes things, and works things out in his head while they were out and about for the day.

Time is just flying here.  Seems like just yesterday we were filling out our paperwork and now we've had our last home study.  Just need to complete my physical, get that paperwork and our state clearance forms then our home study will be done.  Once that happens we can start looking at any files and possibly (if I read it correctly) get matched.  Oh we don't think it'll happen that quickly but the Lord does work in mysterious ways!

This morning I head over to the SOS office again to get 6 of 10 documents we need certified.  Then we'll send them to the courier in Chicago this coming week so she can take them to the Chinese Consulate.  These papers bring us that much closer to completing our Dossier and sending it over to China!

Finally made it to #3 in line from 46

Wow what a change that was, and not for my good...  The last two time I was able to call ahead and get in line.  That apparently wasn't working today.  I got there about 845, took a while to get in the door and about 1.5 hours to get called up.  Then another 27 mins to get all my docs certified. 12 total but boy it sure was worth the long wait.  Aren't they pretty!

Made a few stops then came home to have some lunch, and start working on the boys room.  One of Brenda's friends was selling her bunk beds, dresser, desk, and chair set for the same amount of money we budgeted for the boys for bunk beds and another mattress.. Joe then proceeded to cut his finger on Cheng toddler bed while taking it apart. We then took a detour to Urgent care..  No stitches thank God, just a good glue job. Then we went on to get the bed set. What a busy day. so glad we have tomorrow sit and relax. Truly a day of rest!
Mom it's not working, Put your hands INSIDE it Nian.
That boy jumped SO HIGH..  Oh it was hilarious.

Their drinks needed capes.. aka urgent care masks

Here's the bunk beds, and the dresser. Such a great
deal and super nice set! You'd never guess it's 14 years old.

We are super excited to be so far in our paper chase in such a short amount of time! Thank you for your continued support, prayers, and love as we start this long journey once again.  Hence the name Slow Buss to China....

Wishing you a blessed week!
