Don't resent God's timing His blessings might not be immediate, but they will come if we are faithful to do what he says in his word! 1 Samuel 2

It's June already?

Wow we've been busy and have gotten a lot accomplished since my last post.  Memorial weekend we did a lot of work around the house.  I got the corner of Nian's room cleaned out, and boy what a difference it makes.  We also moved some floor mat/puzzle pieces into another area of the house and wow Nian's room looks much bigger.  He had such a great time and was so excited that he helped "clean" his room.  We moved his kitchen in and he LOVED it.

As usual the weeks are just flying by.... This past weekend was another sorting weekend. Cleaned the basement out and got sale items set aside for the fall sale.  I also went to Countryside with my sister and got some perennials thanks to the gift card from my Mother in Law.  Nian was a big helper with weed pulling and planting of the new flowers.

This weekend also put our truck in the shop.  We're waiting to hear what the damage is, but Joe thinks it's the transmission which is not what we wanted to hear. We have always said we're going to drive it into the ground, but we were really hoping that wouldn't happen until next year AFTER we got back from China. We're hoping it's nothing too costly and we can get by with just a fix and not have to look for something new. but only time will tell.

Not much else is happening here just working on stuff around the house. Joe is taking me to work and picking up until we know what's going on with the truck so today we got our police background checks  so that's one more thing off the list of items we need for our dossier.

We hope you will say a prayer for us and our vehicle issues, as well as our continued progress with this 2nd adoption.  We are looking forward to following another family as they start their journey to China to bring their son home.  We hope you will keep Kristen, James, and Will in your prayers.  Kristen and James leave on Wed and will become parents/a family the following Monday.  It's so wonderful to share our friends journey.  It's like going there all over again.

I can't wait to go back with Joe and Nian. To experience the birth country of my children and to see Nian experience it all anew. My biggest concern about this 2nd trip is how he'll do on the plane over there and more importantly how he'll handle having to "share" mom and dad with little brother. We continue to pray for both our children and that our growing family will be a smooth transition.  I know it will take time for the boys to get use to each other and the new dynamics of our family once we're all together.

Update on the truck issue.  It was NOT the transmission Thank You Lord....  So we were able to get the needed repairs at a much lower rate than expected.   This does make us start some seriously thinking about our next vehicle and that it might be totally different then what we were thinking. Though we don't want to get too ahead of ourselves I think we'll be "just looking" so that when the time does come we'll be a little more prepared.

Thanks for stopping by and all your prayers for us, and our fellow adoption family/friends.

Hope you have a blessed rest of your week.
