Once again summer is almost here and busy season is kicking up into high gear! Nothing says summer like busy weekends!
This week we sent Nian to daycare in his BIG BOY pants, and he did GREAT!!! Tuesday was a little rough but the rest of the week was wonderful. and a few times he didn't even use the little potty seat insert that we got just for daycare! That is Huge for us. He's been in his big boy pants for us on the weekends, and evenings when we're home or out and about but getting him to wear them to daycare has not be easy. I think having him pick out that potty insert was a big help. And there's mainly just boys at daycare now. I love pulling up to daycare and seeing him smiling and running with the other boys. I usually have to wait a few mins so he can keep running with them. Seeing that makes this Daddy and Mommy happy!!
I had my Premier Jewelry party this week. It went really good for only a few people coming. I have got a few outside order, and I'm still taking more...... Nian is doing really good with his Speech Therapy. His vocabulary is growing every day. And his words are getting much easier to understand. We are currently working on P, N, and T. Sometimes he is very clear, and other times he's just not.. We're also working on staying more focused on various tasks. But we also remember he's only 3 so..........
I took my birthday money and hit a few garage sales yesterday. I got Nian a few new movies, How to train a Dragon and Kung Fu Panda... Can ya blame me for those two!? :-) We also picked up a few puzzles at a half price sale, and a new dresser for his room. I got him a hot wheels set, which goes really good with the straight track we have. Now he can shoot his cars all over the track. The steal of the day was a little kitchen which was also at the half price sale! I got a few things for me as well. Not too bad for $20, gotta love the bargains.
This weekend we are working on cleaning and painting the windows at my parents house. We'll have a nice little donation for the adoption fund when we finish this big project. At least the weather has been a little cooler to work. Nian also got to ride the tractor with Papa which he loved.
Our next big project(s) will be working on putting together our China Puzzle Fundraiser. And we still have to get busy picking out a design for our T-shirt fundraiser. And just doing some much needed work around the house. We are looking forward to the upcoming holiday weekend and hope to get a lot accomplished during that time.
We found out that Nian is next on the list for Preschool this fall. We pray that he'll be able to attend the morning class as we'd like. We are also praying for our friends the Crepps as they are bringing their daughter home this week. Daddy and oldest brother are in China right now, Mommy and the other 6 siblings are anxiously awaiting at home for their family to be united. We continue to pray for friends Kristen and James who are currently waiting their TA (Travel Approval from China) so they can travel to bring their son home! We can't wait to schedule a play date!
