It's been a busy week at the Buss home. We are all off our sleep schedule since the time change last weekend. Geesh it's been rough.
We had our first Home Study visit with our new Home Study agency this week. It went really good. Mostly doing the paperwork and just getting to know of new Social Worker Judy. She is awesome. We really like her. I feel very comfortable around her and love that she is also a fellow adoptive Mom so she "gets it"! Our past social workers were wonderful too, but there is just something about having someone who's been there and done that and really "knows" what your going through. We are looking forward to completing this process with her by our side. Nian was really good too when she was here, so that was a nice bonus.
3 more visits with Judy and then she'll start the process of completing our Home Study. Yes folks we are doing this process all over again. China will allow you to reuse your Dossier withing 1 year of your gotcha date, but we have passed that date so we start anew. Luckily we can skip a few "sealing" steps but that's about it.
Nian starts his speech therapy next week, and we hope he'll actually talk to Laura the therapist this time. He's been doing really good with the flash card copies she gave us after our last visit. Once that boy starts talking I don't think he'll stop! lol ugh yeah... That's a good thing! :-)
MARK YOUR CALENDAR - Our Pasta Dinner Fundraiser - Auction - Bake Sale will be April 2, 2016 5-7 pm at Messiah Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids. If your local we hope you can come out, enjoy a great dinner. We have been collecting various items for our silent Auction, and lining up great bake sale items as well. We are so blessed with the many friends and family who have donated, or gotten donations for us. We know it will be a great time for all!
Nian is with his Aunt Shellee today so I can work on sorting our auction items and get some other things done around the house. He was up and awake for about 20 mins before he informed me he was ready to go to her house. Uh you need some cloths on first little boy! He's in his big boy pants today so we hope it will be a good day for him. He did really good last weekend when we went to Papa and Maymay's house with big boy pants on. He's slowly starting to wear them longer and on more outings.
We just found out that Aunt Bev and Uncle Adam got their CA (consulate appointment) date and are leaving for China on April 6th to bring their daughter home. We hope you will keep all 3 of them in your prayers as they make this long awaiting journey. We are so excited and happy for them. It truly is a blessing and amazing experience to have.
That's all I have for today. Hope you have a Wonderful and Blessed weekend.
Ill try to make it to support u aunt becky - love leah and lilly
