Memories 3.6.17

I took the day off to go with the boys on their field trip to the GR Public Museum.  They are learning about space so we went to the planetarium, which for a minute made me wish I had taken some Dramamine, then they head a cool space story, got to touch a part of one of the space shuttle panels, a meteorite, and some stag might.  they also got to try on some shoes that make you feel as if your walking on the moon, and do some other fun activities.  Nian loved it but Cheng for some reason was ready to head home super early.  I think it was because I was there with him.  We headed back to school to drop the other kids off, got some lunch at home, then headed back to see the Dragons, Unicorns, and Mermaids exhibit.  It wasn't as wondrous as I had thought it would be..  Again, Nian loved it, but it kind of freaked Cheng out he didn't want to walk through some of it.  But what freaked him out the most was the puppet show area.  He hid behind me when Nian was back there with the dragon puppets.  That boy does NOT like stuff animals or anything similar to them...

GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dragon

and Horse. Cheng was too afraid to stand by it.

We stopped for some ice cream on the way home.  The boys had fun loading it with sprinkles and hot fudge.  Having a stash of each at home beats paying for them with the ice cream.. They boys relaxed while I got to work making some Chinese for dinner.  Love the steam baskets I got, they make the pot-stickers taste so much better...   Right now the little angels are in the tub arguing one min and in cahoots the next.  Lord help me.... Such typical brothers/siblings they are we are truly Blessed!!

Our friends Kristin and James had a great Gotcha day with their little guy, and Will seems to be loving being a big brother.  We enjoy reading their journey, it makes me feel as if I'm there.  And our boys like seeing all the pictures too.  Congrats you guys.  Please keep them in your prayers as well.

Here's the memories from last year.  Still bums me out about the boat.

3.6.17

We had little brothers medical appointment today.  This is required for him as part of his US Visa paperwork. He
also had to get blood drawn and TB testing.  Not a happy camper about that one.

Caleb and Evan stayed here with Nian and his buddy Liam, who needed some play time.  Please say some
prayers for Liam and his family as he is having a rough time with new sister being added to the family.  We are
so thankful these boys have each other to let off some energy and just be around.  Siblings are hard to deal with
sometimes.  Nian has been super good with it all.  The real issues, we believe, will happen once we are home
and around Nian's "things".  Then the real work will start.

We got back and the boys played some more in the playground before we headed to lunch at Food Street here
in the hotel.  Holy cow that was not that wonderful yet costly. I'll be getting dumplings from the noodle shop for
 the cruise tonight.

We had some down time in our room and then headed down for the Pearl River Cruise.  Caleb and Evan went
with me to the noodle shop to get our dinner, while Joe ordered pizza for him and Nian. ick is all I can say to that...  Of course Cheng, like Nian last time, fell asleep on the way there.  He was up and chowing down when we finally got on
our way.  The ceiling upstairs was crazy and I got a good laugh at all the tall guys..

We were on a regular boat, not the cool dragon boat we had last time. And while it was cool to see they added
more lights to the bridge it wasn't as exciting as last time.  The top floor had special seating up front so we
didn't have access to the whole deck. The boys had fun though.  Much as I would have liked neither of them
fell asleep on the way back.  Cheng did take a bottle then was wide awake still. ugh..    A short time later we
 both fell asleep.

Tomorrow is a free day, we have a lot of those this trip...   Some families are going to the Island but we'll just
take it easy and visit the park instead.  We have to be back to the hotel room at 230 for his TB test results.

Here are some pics from the day..
